The theory is to that what you see on screen is what you get when you output it to a colour printer, such as a ink jet or wax thermal tranfer postscript printer. It is only useful for the printing industry, so that RGB to CMYK (printing inks) is pretty much consistant on all jobs. It's pretty good! Just click on the pop-up menus to choose a colour. In MacOS 8.0 & 8.1, this feature has been merged into the Appearance control panel. Set Profile... Click on "Set Profile...", and then select one of the installed profiles (found in the Preferences folder).
